The department executed eight warrants that resulted in six arrests, the officer said. He also described a DUI arrest that began at Hayes Kennedy Park and ended near a Circle K, with the suspect taken to jail after multiple vehicle strikes.
Tony reported a noticeable increase in mental-health-related runs — about five in roughly two weeks — including multiple hospitalizations, and a small uptick in domestic-violence calls. He said the department is coordinating with Metro and neighboring agencies as needed.
Separately, the report described several large fallen trees blocking major arteries this month; Tony said some removals require equipment or assistance beyond local capabilities and that the department is coordinating with fire and Metro crews for those incidents.
What’s next: The police report did not propose a new ordinance or budget change during the meeting. Officers said they will continue interagency coordination and field enforcement work in affected neighborhoods.
