Cottage Grove council unanimously backs resolution supporting regional DLCD housing-planning grant application

The Cottage Grove City Council voted unanimously to approve Resolution 2172, expressing support for a Lane Council of Governments application to the Department of Land Conservation and Development's 2025–2027 Housing Planning Assistance grant program.
Community Development Manager Miss Clemmer explained the grant would support housing capacity analyses and housing production strategies under statewide planning Goal 10. She said the application window had closed on Aug. 4, 2025, and that LCOG requested a local resolution of support so the regional application could proceed. "If LCOG is awarded this grant, city staff will support the project through tasks such as data gathering, deliverable review, and participation in the project," Miss Clemmer said.
Councilor Lawson moved to approve Resolution 2172 and Councilor Lammerman seconded. A roll call vote was held and all present voted in the affirmative; the motion carried unanimously. No amendments were offered during the discussion.
