Christina Anderson tapped as Pleasant Valley Elementary principal, will start July 1

The Centennial School District 28J board on June 18 formally introduced Christina Anderson as the new principal of Pleasant Valley Elementary, effective July 1.
Superintendent Owens highlighted Anderson’s roughly two decades in education and recent leadership at Clackamas River Elementary in the Estacada School District, noting previous service as an assistant principal at Oliver Elementary in Centennial School District. Owens said Anderson brings experience in instructional leadership, school improvement, behavior intervention, and coaching, and emphasized her commitment to equity and family engagement.
Anderson, who holds a bachelor’s degree in human development and family science from Oregon State University and a master’s in education and administrative licensure from Portland State University, thanked the board for the welcome and said she is ‘‘really excited for July to roll around’’ and begin work with Pleasant Valley staff and families.
The district said transition work has been underway this spring with the current principal to ensure a smooth start in July.
