Pennsbury board approves consent agenda including Bucks County Technical High School budget

The Pennsbury School Board voted on May 15 to approve the consent agenda items 4a through 9d by roll call, with a result of eight yes votes, zero no votes and one absence.

The approved items included the Bucks County Technical High School budget for the 2025–26 school year and a slate of finance committee recommendations and contract awards presented earlier in the meeting. Finance committee highlights the board approved included: approval of financial statements and bills pending; acceptance of in‑kind donations for partnership programs; renewal of Pennsylvania School Boards Association membership; physician services agreement to provide required bus driver physicals; a student assistance services agreement; awards for school bus parts and bus garage supplies across multiple vendors (totaling in the order presented in board materials); subscription renewals for district tools; appointment of a treasurer for 2026; nursing staffing agreement renewal; and a recommendation to award the Pennsbury High School East roof repair project to Jim Miller Roofing and Sheet Metal for the amount listed in the agenda.

During the roll call the district clerk called member votes individually. When the motion concluded the chair announced, “The motion carries.” No separate roll‑call tally for each listed motion was recorded on the public audio beyond the consolidated consent vote.

Why it matters: Approving the consent agenda moves multiple operational, contractual and budgetary items forward for the coming fiscal year. Of particular note for taxpayers is the district’s share of the Bucks County Technical High School operating cost and continuing capital and maintenance contracts that affect near‑term district spending.

What’s next: The district will proceed with contract awards and administrative actions consistent with those approvals. The board expects a final district budget presentation next month with a subsequent vote.
