Commission approves plat and street vacation to support HMMI LLC expansion

The City Commission approved a plat to establish a 20-foot easement within a right-of-way being vacated to support an expansion by HMMI LLC, and later approved a formal resolution to forward the street vacation for recording.
Barry Cranston presented a marked plat and explained that the proposed easement largely coincides with a previously approved vacation and that it meets the conditions the commission had set. "This plat, for the record, does meet the conditions that the commission set forth on their motion," Cranston said, and noted Northwestern had provided final notice approving the easement area.
Prince (staff) described Resolution 2025-O5 as the formal document that, when filed with the registered deeds and Department of Revenue, triggers conveyance of the property to Horizontal Machining for that purpose. Commissioners moved and approved both the plat and the resolution on roll calls recorded during the meeting.
The items together clear the way for the utility easement and street conveyance needed for HMMI's planned addition. The commission recorded no public objections during these votes.
