Board approves principals' and administrators' contracts unanimously

The Fridley Public Schools board approved master agreements for building principals and for the Association of School Administrators covering the 2025–27 contract term.
Veronica Matheson, co-lead negotiator for the principals, told the board the principals’ contract reflects the group’s value and was ratified by the membership; Superintendent Dr. Lewis announced that principals ratified their agreement with "100%" approval. Later in the meeting, the board approved the Association of School Administrators master agreement on a unanimous voice vote after Chair Stark moved the motion and Anna seconded.
Board members and administrators framed the ratifications as signs of unity and said the contracts will help the district retain leadership and instructional talent. The superintendent noted that some of the later leadership hires and program expansions are funded through special-program tuition rather than the general fund.
Both agreements were placed on the consent agenda and approved without a recorded roll-call in the public meeting.
