McDaniel described the dog as "very friendly, very fun" and said the shelter had recently improved adoption rates, going from 12 animals the previous week to a smaller number this week as animals were adopted. He also described local practices for assessing animal behavior and coordinating temporary fosters.
The council thanked McDaniel for the update and for the shelter's work placing animals. There were no motions or votes tied to the presentation; it was given as an informational item during the council's opening portion.
McDaniel encouraged residents to check the shelter's Facebook page and Petfinder listings for available animals and noted that Jinx Animal Animal Welfare was waiving adoption fees at the time of the meeting.
