City staff told council a brush truck for the fire department is nearly complete and expected to arrive soon. Staff reviewed financing proposals from several vendors and recommended a municipal lease through Community Leasing Partners; the council authorized a seven-year lease option so the department will take ownership after the final payment.
The fire chief said the truck is nearly finished with only minor lights and decals outstanding and that the vendor expects delivery in the coming week. Staff noted several local officials indicated interest in attending a vehicle push-in/presentation when it arrives.
Council moved to authorize execution of the municipal lease agreement using the seven-year option, the motion was seconded, and council approved execution.
Staff instructed the fire department to schedule notifications for officials and the public once delivery dates are confirmed.
