Council authorized the mayor and clerk to enter into agreements with the Suburban Mobility Authority for Regional Transportation (SMART) for a community credit program and a local transit program for fiscal year 2025–26. The motion to concur with administration was moved and approved on a roll-call vote.
The council also approved a $32,740 grant agreement with the Southeastern Michigan Council of Governments (SEMCOG) to fund planning and prioritization work for crossings in the North Branch Ecourse Creek watershed. Mayor Rome Creek said the award is for a planning and evaluation study with participating communities; the council approved the grant on a roll-call vote.
