Resident asks Rocky Mount council to consider lien relief on abandoned home at 624 Marlborough Place

She said the assessed lien is "approximately $7,400" and that additional back taxes and city attorney fees total about $16,000; Singleton said she is acquiring and closing on the property and would reinvest any relief into tree removal and yard restoration.
Singleton asked the council to consider establishing a formal review process for special circumstances such as deceased owners and unadministered estates.
