Board approves AIG plan, nutrition bids, Canvas renewal, construction contracts and several purchases

Nutrition and CEP: The nutrition director requested approval to roll over distributor bids for 2025–26, expand the district's Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) list to include Jacobs Fork and pilot a "Super Snack" after‑school meal option; the director said the Super Snack will be provided free at Quest sites and not billed to families. The board approved the rollover bids and CEP changes unanimously.
Purchases and curriculum supports: The board approved using ATSI funds (approximately $185,000 allocated districtwide to ATSI schools) to contract Learning Focused Schools (about $37,800 from ATSI funds) for principal coaching and instruction‑support services, renewed Letterland materials for early grades paid from PRC‑85 literacy funds, and a state‑funded purchase of 50 Trafera Lenovo Chromebooks for the Exceptional Children (EC) department at a cost of $40,606.
Canvas LMS: Marty Sharp presented a one‑year renewal quote for Canvas (the district's learning management system for grades 6–12) under a state convenience contract totaling roughly $56,883.84; the board approved the renewal.
Construction and facilities: Facilities staff reported several items that were approved together: a transfer window schedule (open June 2, close July 31; out‑of‑county tuition due Aug. 11), a construction change directive to remove an underground storage tank (increase of $31,230), Mobile Modular agreements for 4‑pack modular units (initial estimate $58,673.32 for setup, delivery and first month's lease at specific sites), gym floor finishing ($35,608.73), flooring replacement ($72,282.62), HVAC and classroom renovation contracts, and a recommendation to engage REI Engineers for metal‑roof design services. The board approved those grouped items unanimously.
Each approval was made by motion and raised‑hand vote, and the chair announced unanimous approval for the listed consent and action items.
