Board approves stadium waterline work, athletics membership and PACE appointments

At its June 16 meeting the Caledonia Community Schools board approved a set of operational and appointment actions.
The board authorized Rockford Construction to contract with Fisher Idema Excavating for a waterline relocation at Ralph E. Myers Stadium at a cost of $140,000, contingent on a legal agreement between Caledonia Community Schools and Caledonia Township by June 19, 2025. Administration said the two entities would share costs roughly 50/50 and that the district is the contract holder for the construction work.
Trustees also voted to continue the district’s participation in the Michigan High School Athletic Association, a routine annual decision, and approved the nomination of Charles Schuler and Esmina Hamzadzic as Caledonia’s PACE representatives for three‑year terms beginning August 2025.
Board members reviewed policy revisions in a first reading and discussed the annual student handbook updates, with no final action on policies required until the second reading next month.
