During the May 21 meeting the Bremen CHSD 228 board and district presenters recognized a series of student and staff nominees for the district’s "Keepers of the Light" awards.
Student honorees: Presenters described nominees' activities and leadership roles. Maya Contreras was highlighted for participation in marching band, jazz ensemble, theater, speech, student council, GSA and for helping start the district's first mariachi band.
