District shows updated building-project web pages and construction progress

The Brandon Valley School District highlighted progress on two capital projects and showed the public how to track them online.
Director of academic technology Chuck Henson walked the board through the district’s internally maintained building-projects web pages for both the elementary and middle school projects. Henson said the pages include architectural plans, periodic construction photos and a short flyover video updated approximately every two weeks so residents can see progress and timelines.
Henson described visible site activity at the middle school addition — earthwork and footings in place and the parking-lot excavation underway — and construction photos from the elementary project that show curbs installed, community-room framing and exterior walls rising. Superintendent Larson told the board the district updates images every couple of weeks and uses the pages as a centralized communications hub for project timelines and information.
The board received the demonstration and had no substantive questions about the web pages. The district noted the middle school and elementary projects are moving quickly over the summer to meet school-year timelines.
