District reports staff training, pre-K roundup on Feb. 25 and enrollment opening March 2

"This is an opportunity for [parents] to come and learn about why pre-K is important and what their student's gonna be doing while they're in pre-K," LaDonna said.
Board members and staff discussed current pre-K capacity at individual sites. LaDonna said the district currently has capacity for five pre-K sections at Wayside and five at Ranch Heights; staffing and boundary adjustments will be made only after the district confirms how many families would enroll or shift schools. LaDonna and the superintendent also noted statewide pre-K enrollment is down in some areas and that the district will continue outreach to families.
The board did not take a formal vote on policy or budget items related to pre-K at this meeting; the update focused on outreach and operational planning.
