The insurance committee voted unanimously to recommend a resolution rejecting uninsured and underinsured motorist (UM/UIM) bodily injury and property damage coverage for the district’s automobile insurance policy and authorized Chief Financial Officer Nisha Bamberg to sign the rejection for the policy period from Sept. 20, 2025, to Sept. 20, 2026.
Doug Rogers (Risk Pros Inc.) presented the item and noted administrative considerations about who is authorized to sign the record; the committee read the resolution into the minutes and approved the recommendation. The motion was seconded by Mr. Wiggins and carried by a unanimous show-of-hands vote.
Because this action is the committee’s recommendation, the district’s formal rejection will be effective only after the board acts or confirms the committee’s authorization, as required by district procedures.
