District staff read the official canvass totals: total votes cast 3,229; Place 4 — Maritza Gonzalez Cooper 687 votes and Sarah Falconberry 2,271 votes; Place 5 — Garrett Wilson 2,303 votes and Scott Newberry 580 votes. The board moved and approved a motion to accept and certify the results as reported by the Kendall County Elections Administrator.
Following the canvass, Judge Cahoon of Kendall County administered the oath of office to Sarah Falconberry and Garrett Wilson.
During the board’s annual reorganization, trustees elected a slate of officers by voice vote: Christy Schmidt as board president, Courtney Darter Bruce as vice president and Rich Senna as secretary. The board chair reopened the meeting after closed session and then handled routine business.
