The board moved and seconded the recommendation and approved it by voice vote; the presiding officer announced the motion "carries" with an 8–0 tally. Student representatives who spoke during the meeting highlighted senior activities in recent weeks, including "Snow Day in May," senior awards and senior experience internships.
