Bound Brook honors students of the month and district educators of the year

The Bound Brook Board of Education recognized students of the month across its elementary, middle and high schools and presented district and county-level educator awards at its May meeting. Dr. Freeman summarized the student recognitions and invited recipients forward; honorees represented Lamont Annex, Lafayette, Smalley, Community Middle School and Bound Brook High School.
Administrators and principals described recipients’ classroom activities, favorite subjects and future goals. At Bound Brook High School, staff highlighted student accomplishments and named recipients of the Crusader Citizen of the Month awards.
The board also honored multiple educators and service professionals as the district’s Governor Educators of the Year and County representatives, highlighting classroom innovations, bilingual services, STEM instruction and student support programs. The meeting noted that 5% of boards statewide achieve the Carol E. Larson Master Board Certification and announced the district had earned that distinction; the board and superintendent congratulated members for reaching the milestone.
Board members and the superintendent then took photos with honorees before proceeding to committee reports.
