Franklin County board approves FY26 consolidated federal funding application covering IDEA and ESEA programs

The presenter described program uses: Title I supports identified schools, Title II funds professional development and instructional coaches, Title III funds supplemental EL materials (last year $21,000), Title IV will support the district's new science-adoption supplemental materials, and IDEA funds personnel and support services (the presenter said IDEA last year funded 2.3 certified positions, 29 classified positions and six bus monitors). The presenter also noted that some pre-K inclusion slots are funded at limited levels and that general funds pick up remaining costs.
On a motion by Lance Williams with a second from Miss Lippert, the board approved submission of the FY26 consolidated funding application by voice vote. The meeting record shows the presenter used prior-year allocations as placeholders; final state allocations may change district program budgets when the state issues FY26 figures.
