Planning staff say Wakefield Valley amendment would add 35 homes, dedicate 16-acre parcel to Carroll Lutheran Village; hearing continued to Oct. 21

According to Hardys, the amendment would add 35 density rights to Parcel W to permit construction of 35 single-family detached dwelling units and would result in dedication of Parcel X to Carroll Lutheran Village as open space or for its use (the transcript referenced dedication to Carroll Lutheran Village but did not specify the terms of dedication). Hardys said the commission continued the public hearing on the amendment to its Oct. 21 meeting; the commission’s typical Oct. 16 meeting date was rescheduled to Oct. 21.
The Planning Department did not present a final recommendation to the council during the meeting; the matter remains before the Planning & Zoning Commission and will return to the commission’s October meeting for further public input and deliberation.
