Staff told the council that a public notice will run in the Tri-County Citizen and that letters of interest to fill the vacancy will be accepted beginning the next day. "All you have to do here is to vote to declare the position vacant by law, and we will put a public notice into the Tri County citizen accepting letters beginning tomorrow for the vacancy of mister Jamie Kendall," staff said.
The motion to accept the resignation was made, seconded and approved by roll call. The council did not record a timetable for appointment in the transcript beyond authorizing the public notice and restarting the application window.
Staff asked that members and residents encourage interested parties to submit letters of interest as described in the notice.
