The prorated 2025 cost cited at the meeting was $544.03 (annual cost $894), and council approved the addition unanimously.
Staff explained that roughly 65–70 percent of an ISO rating depends on fire department performance and documentation, including training records. The personnel module would let firefighters and shift leads enter course completions (for example OSU classes) and create a searchable historical record ahead of the next ISO review, which occurs on a five‑year rotation. Officials said better documentation could help lower homeowner insurance premiums if the city’s ISO score improves.
Council asked about recurring module costs and whether other required tabs (such as hydrants) were needed; staff said hydrant data will remain in the public works platform Diamond Maps and that most critical personnel functionality is available in the requested module.
