Bristol Warren honors Science Olympiad state winners and longtime district retirees

Before regular business, the Bristol Warren Regional School Committee recognized student and staff achievements.
Speaker 3 introduced the KMS Science Olympiad team, noting it was the district’s second straight year with state winners, and called student team members to the front to receive certificates. Named students included Alex Barawi, Andrew Barawi, Benjamin Campbell, Natalie Christina, Dario Paletta, Cece Dais, Kenny Dunning, Alyce Godbow, Ivan Nanson, Zachary Oliver, Auden O'Shea, Olivia Overy, Sofia Papa, Megan Perousek and Emma Sorrentino.
The committee also honored district retirees. Speaker 3 described Vicky Guthline’s 22 years as a special educator and later special‑ed coordinator; Lynn Perry’s 25 years as a special educator; Gerard Spence’s 30 years of service and strong student connections; Anna Xavier’s 23 years as a world‑language teacher; Laurie Cadman’s 30+ years in wellness, physical education and health; Carol Carroll’s long service across grade levels; Bonnie Dion’s service as a TA and work rescuing a choking student; and Diane Santa’s 12 years with the district and 3½ years assisting the superintendent. Members offered personal anecdotes and best wishes to each retiree.
