Gregorian also described a HAVA complaint she filed that the Department of Elections dismissed after downgrading it. She said the complaint identified an alleged Section 303 violation but was not the subject of a survey or investigation before being downgraded and dismissed, and she asked the board to revisit that decision so that complaints that allege Section 303 violations complete the full process.
Board members thanked Gregorian for her comments; no board action to reopen or investigate the specific HAVA complaint was recorded in the meeting minutes. The board moved on to its commissioner report and subsequent agenda items.
