On the modular restrooms Abbott stated the Conservancy has already raised $250,000 and “we are teed up and ready to go but we have not been able to break ground on it, because we're waiting for official approval from the district.” Abbott emphasized the Conservancy’s intent to avoid adding long‑term maintenance obligations to the district and to collaborate on logistics (utilities, staffing) so district staff could support daily operations after installation.
Abbott also described a broader, multi‑year vision for consolidating and upgrading athletic fields, expanding courts and improving connectivity (a “Green Alley” pedestrian/bike link) between park zones. He characterized these as multi‑million‑dollar projects dependent on future fundraising and phased construction; there is no firm construction timeline without additional funding and district approvals.
What’s next: The Conservancy seeks district approval to proceed with the modular-restroom installation and urged continued partnership on fundraising and project logistics.
