Council considered Resolution 2025-15, a plan of service for a proposed annexation along West Highway 2570 near the interstate exit. A presenter said developers submitted only a concept plan for a mixed-use retail-residential project and that no formal development plan had yet been filed. The presenter stated that water and sewer services are already being delivered beyond the current city limits, so the annexation would not impose new utility costs on the city at present.
Staff noted that any actual development would go through the planning commission and building and code departments for review and approval. Council moved to approve consideration of the plan-of-service resolution and a roll call vote recorded affirmative responses; the motion carried.
Next steps: If the property owner/developer proceeds, the project will require planning-commission review and building-permit approvals. The resolution authorizes consideration of the annexation plan-of-service but is not final land-use approval.
