City auditor issues clean opinion for Hialeah's FY2023-24 financial statements

O'Riza recommended that council members and staff consult the management discussion and analysis (printed pages 5'30) for a narrative explanation of year-to-year changes.
Council members briefly questioned whether any items required follow-up and were told the 150-plus-page document includes footnotes, budgetary comparison schedules, and reconciliation tables for deeper review. O'Riza said he makes himself available to answer later, specific questions about footnotes, grant schedules or other backup materials.
What happens next: the report will remain available for council review and public inspection; the auditor encouraged members to raise any technical questions with his firm if they surface after today's meeting. No formal council action was required at the time of presentation.
