City staff said the agreement brings Teamsters employees into parity on longevity benefits with police, increases life insurance from $10,000 to $20,000, and clarifies replacement coverage for damaged clothing. “After going through many meetings, we came up with a three-year contract,” a staff presenter said, summarizing the negotiated terms.
Labor attorney Diana Moffitt and finance/HR staff participated in negotiations, according to staff. Councilors thanked staff for the work and said a multi-year agreement provides stability and standardization across city positions.
A council member moved to authorize execution of the agreement; the motion was seconded, roll-call votes were recorded, and the motion carried.
