The Colorado Senate acted on a suite of procedural and policy items on Aug. 25, 2025, concurring with House amendments to Senate Bill 4 (transparency measures for algorithmic systems), repassing the bill, and adopting Senate Joint Resolution 001 to adjourn the first extraordinary session of the 70th General Assembly sine die.
Majority Leader Rodriguez explained that the House had removed the word "appropriation" from the bill’s title and the Senate concurred with that amendment. The motion to concur was adopted (the transcript records the concurrence vote as 31 ayes, 1 no). The Senate later repassed Senate Bill 4 as recorded in the proceedings.
The Senate appointed a committee to notify the governor when the chamber was ready to adjourn; the committee reported that the governor joined by FaceTime and cited a public health concern that prevented in‑person attendance. The chamber then debated and adopted SJR 001 read at length to make the adjournment sine die official; the transcript records the adoption by unanimous recorded vote and the Senate adjourned.
