At the start of the meeting the commission approved the agenda as presented, the regular meeting minutes from Oct. 14 and a motion to allow payment of county bills.
Under personnel, Brenda presented four actions from the sheriff's office: Alexis Richard (a classification change from part time to full-time Correction Officer 1, noted as "Grade 1, base pay at $24.00 8, effective on 11/02" in the record), Daniel Johnson (new part-time Correction Officer 1, effective 10/28), Alexandria Kolsky (new part-time fill-in, effective 10/28), and Stone Turf Turfon (full-time Deputy 1, Grade 2, base pay listed as $31.43, effective 10/28). The commission moved and approved the sheriff's personnel requests.
Brenda also requested authorization for employees to donate sick leave for Barb Baker under the Lawrence County personnel policy (Article 4, Section 4.1). Commissioners discussed adding a contingency that Baker complete "bladder safety training"; the suggestion was seconded and the motion to authorize donations was recorded as carried in the minutes.
The meeting record shows routine business was handled by majority votes and that staff will proceed with personnel paperwork and payroll updates as needed.
