Bryan ISD board approves donation, calendars and policy updates; hears operations briefing and public comment on athletics

Operations and planning updates District leaders gave a facilities and transportation briefing: facilities-condition assessments have been updated periodically since 2013 and the district is conducting route-efficiency work with an external contractor. The district reported a fleet inventory of 127 vehicles and recent delivery of three 77-passenger buses and three minibuses.
Public comment Parent Mark Garrett, president of the Viking Club, urged trustees to prioritize support for athletics and booster-club involvement, saying some families are considering leaving the district over athletic-program issues. Trustees acknowledged the concern and discussed follow-up options but did not vote on new athletics measures.
