Officials tentatively set 2025 millage rate at 11.34 mills after finance presentation

Assistant Finance Director Amanda Groch presented the recommended tentative millage rate for 2025 and supporting digest figures, and meeting participants voted to tentatively approve an 11.34 mill rate.

Groch said the 2025 gross digest growth was $510,000,000, a 20.88% increase, and that exemptions rose by $184,600,000 (126.66% increase). She reported that the net digest growth for 2025 was $3,325,000,000 (15.92%). "Our rollback rate for 2025 is 11.344," Groch said. "Our recommended 2025 millage rate is 11.34. This would be a reduction of 0.86 mils." She told members the legal ad would run in the newspaper the week of September 25 to provide public notice and to set the final hearing date.
