A motion by a commissioner to approve the bid for a total of $123,937 — presented in the motion as coming from "Sleep Construction" — was seconded and passed; Commissioners Coker and Hollinger were recorded voting in the affirmative.
The board stated the project will be funded from restricted waste-and-recycling funds allocated for transfer-station maintenance.
The presiding commissioner directed staff to move forward with contracting and noted the county’s priority to get the repair work scheduled quickly. The board did not identify an expected completion date at the meeting.
