Sparks City Council on Sept. 8 approved a three‑year agreement with Summit Partners/Alumen for information security services and maintenance.
Ty Reid, the city's IT security manager, told the council the contract continues services put in place last year and provides 24/7 SOC monitoring and log alerts. Reid said the system is separate from the state system and will lock in a 10% savings. The agreement was listed at $407,200, payable in three equal annual installments of $135,733.34.
Councilmember Abbott moved to approve the contract; the motion was seconded and carried unanimously. No additional fiscal contingencies or policy changes were discussed during the council action.
