Council approves consent business, appoints Wade Ramsey to SWAC and proclaims September as Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month

The council approved resolution number 25-2534 to appoint Wade Ramsey to Seat 1 of the Meridian Solid Waste Advisory Commission; the appointee was not present at the meeting.
The council opened a public hearing on the proposed FY26 solid-waste fee updates; staff reported no public comments and the hearing was closed with a motion. Mayor and council issued a proclamation declaring September 2025 Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month; local advocates accepted and spoke about the need for research and awareness.
