Staff told the council they hoped to schedule a pre-construction meeting immediately and complete the roadway work before the school year begins to avoid interfering with student traffic. Council approved the resolutions to adopt plans and specifications, to make the award and to approve the construction contract and bond.
What happens next: Staff will schedule pre-construction coordination with the contractor, notify affected residents and adjacent organizations of anticipated delays during construction, and proceed with contract execution.
