Committee members emphasized the need to define a clear mission for the subcommittee so it does not become overly broad. One member suggested starting with a smaller, school-committee‑only subgroup and then expanding to include town-council members and community representatives.
The committee approved a motion to create the space‑needs subcommittee by voice vote. Dr. Slido offered to solicit cost estimates from consulting firms and said a joint public presentation to the town council would likely follow if the committee proceeds with an outside study.
