Parent urges BVSD to oppose Fraser Meadows Manor expansion over student-safety worries

"This expansion doesn't just bring residents. It adds workers, supply trucks, visitors, dramatically raising traffic and activity around the school," Lair said, and warned that moving primary access to a street used heavily for student drop-off would "upend... routines, create years of disruptive construction, increase noise, and produce long term congestion." She asked the board to advocate for student safety and oppose the project or demand a redesigned plan that reduces risks for children walking or biking to school.
No district action was taken; the comment was entered as part of the public-participation record. Board members and staff did not offer an official response during public comment beyond thanking the speaker.
