At its May 12 meeting the Blue Valley Board of Education approved three procurement matters during its new business agenda.
Operations director Jake Slobodnick presented a contract with Delta Innovative Services for districtwide roofing repairs and recommended approval as critical maintenance to prolong existing roofs. The board approved the Delta contract by voice vote, recording a 7–0 outcome (motion by Jody, second by Clay).
Slobodnick also presented a renewal of the ImageQuest copier program (sixth year). The board approved that contract 7–0 (motion by Clay, second by Patrick).
Brian Daly asked the board to approve an Apple iPad purchase for roughly 2,500 devices intended for staff use in classrooms, libraries and for middle‑ and high‑school math and science teachers. Daly said the refresh focused on staff devices rather than a full student refresh and would reduce overall cost compared with a full student refresh; the exact contract amount was not specified during the presentation. The board approved the Apple contract 7–0 (motion by Jody, second by Clay).
Vote totals: each motion passed unanimously, 7–0. The board did not request additional public hearing or refer the contracts to an outside body.
What’s next: Contracts will move forward per standard procurement procedures; staff will execute vendor agreements and schedule work and deliveries through their departments.
