He credited district transportation staff—named during the meeting as Doug Shipper and Amy Russell—for handling questions and logistics.
On procurement, the board heard that sealed bid packets for two 72-passenger buses were opened and that Cardinal (a bus vendor) submitted the lowest competitive bids. "Cardinal ... came in with the lowest price," Paramore said, and the board approved the bid summary and purchase. The board also approved the treasurer's consent calendar and the superintendent's consent calendar; during the superintendent consent calendar vote Mrs. Deppert announced an abstention because a family member is on the substitute list.
All motions passed by roll call during the meeting. The board invited public comment but no members of the public spoke on these items. The approved bus purchases and route designations are routine annual actions intended to ensure buses and routes are in place for the first day of school.
