County staff (Elise) reported that the regional medical examiner building owner-contractor construction agreement had previously been approved subject to legal review. Elise said she had completed that review with assistance from a construction-law certified attorney, and that architects had made necessary changes, including adding statutorily required disclosures, correcting errors and clarifying value-engineered items in the project manual. Elise said the architect had sent the document to the contractor (referred to in the record as Integrity/Tegrity) which was in the process of signing it; she requested the court approve the agreement based on legal review so it could return after signatures. Commissioner Gillespie moved approval, Commissioner Pavelic seconded, and the motion carried with four votes.
The record indicates final contractor signature and a return to the court for the judge's signature will follow as the next procedural steps.
