The Atascosa County Commissioners’ Court approved multiple land-development items presented by Britney Van Curren of Rural Development.
Van Curren described the Lakeside Horizon Subdivision on North State Highway 16 (Precinct 1) as a three-phase project that will total 32 lots when complete; she presented the master development plan and recommended approval. Commissioner Gillespie moved to approve the master plan and Commissioner Bowen seconded; the court approved the plan with three recorded votes.
A variance request for a septic permit at 7708 North U.S. Highway 281 (Precinct 1) was withdrawn by the applicant, Van Curren said, and the court removed the item from consideration.
In Precinct 2 the court approved a certificate of exception for the Medina family on Cutting Horse Lane. Van Curren said the parcel met county requirements and recommended approval; Commissioner Bowen moved approval and the motion carried with three votes.
In Precinct 3 Van Curren presented the final plat for the MTW Services subdivision on West State Highway 97, describing it as a small two-lot subdivision that met tax and county approvals; Commissioner Pavelic moved approval, seconded by Commissioner Bowen, and the motion carried with three votes. The court also approved a certificate of exception for the Gonzales family on FM 140 after Van Curren said the family held an undivided interest and the split met county requirements.
All these items were presented as meeting county requirements; recorded votes and motions accompany each approval in the meeting minutes.
