He also raised concerns about citation process transparency, asking why recipients were not given court dates and why a large share of fines appears to go to the vendor rather than community programs.
The superintendent acknowledged the concern, offered to follow up and said staff would provide background on the district’s relationship with the vendor and arrange for a staff member to answer the requester's questions. The superintendent also said another local official (the county comptroller) had received a Freedom of Information request and indicated an audit was being pursued at the county level.
The board did not take action at the meeting but the superintendent said staff would contact the resident and gather information for follow‑up.
