Austin Peay trustees approve bylaws changes to align with state law

Dr. Carol Clark, secretary to the board, told the committee the revisions "need to be made in order to comply with current state law" and that other changes reflect recent action by the General Assembly to add trustees and change appointing authorities, including two appointments by House leadership and two by Senate leadership.
The changes were presented as housekeeping and compliance updates. Dr. Clark offered herself and Corey Harkie as contacts for committee members with questions about the language.
A motion to adopt the revisions was moved and seconded and then approved in a roll-call vote. Trustees Cannata, Jenkins, O'Malley and Roe each voted "Aye," and the motion carried.
The committee did not record any amendments or conditions to the changes during the meeting; committee materials supplied with the agenda contained the proposed text.
