During public comment, Alyssa Damagala updated the board on the Cardinals Rising fundraising campaign. She said anonymous donors had originally agreed to match 52 donations but agreed to match 57 that came in, representing $49,932 in matching funds; combined with donor amounts the campaign raised $104,172 over the month.
Alyssa also announced a robotics matching opportunity beginning that day: an anonymous donor pledged to match up to $15,000 dollar-for-dollar. Alyssa reported two donations on the first day of the robotics match — $3,272 and $5,000 — bringing the match-phase receipts to $8,272 and signaling strong early momentum.
She encouraged parents to attend parent advisory meetings, citing examples where parent suggestions were quickly adopted by schools. The board accepted the comment and thanked her for the update.
