The Annandale Public Schools board approved a series of routine items including personnel contracts, work assignments, a donations resolution and the third reading and adoption of Policy 209 (code of ethics).
On a series of voice votes the board approved the meeting agenda, the consent agenda, and recognized student state qualifiers in robotics and speech. The board approved two 2025–26 contracts (a learning disabilities special education teacher and a middle school band teacher) and approved replacement and next-year paraprofessional assignments. The board also adopted an April resolution accepting donations and completed a policy review cycle, approving seven policies with minor or no changes.
The third and final reading of Policy 209, described in meeting materials as the board code of ethics, was approved on a motion by Jen and second by Dylan. Board members voiced support for the policy after its third reading.
Board members recorded their standard voice votes on motions ("Aye" concluded each vote); the meeting record does not indicate roll-call tallies by name at this session. The board closed with announcements of an upcoming work session May 12 at Annandale Elementary School and the next monthly meeting May 19 at 7 p.m. in the Media Center, then adjourned.
