"After the assistant principal do the threat assessment, we're gonna use now Randy Bridal to come in and then have that counsel counselor love with the kid to see how that threat assessment is under her eyes instead of just under disciplinary eyes," Speaker 3 said, describing a process meant to preserve continuity when students change schools or principals.
Board members said the aim is consistent language and procedures across schools so a new principal or new building staff will know prior findings from fifth or sixth grade onward. Speaker 3 framed the change as a move from informal practice to a district-wide, uniform approach.
The district did not provide a firm timeline for full implementation during the meeting. Next steps described by the board include continuing development of the assessment protocols with the identified staff and seeking to adopt common terminology and procedures across campuses.
