President Shandy and the Academy District 20 Board approved the consent agenda, which included the recommendation that Tricia Clough serve as interim principal at Ranch Creek Elementary School.
Mr. Smart introduced Clough to the board, summarizing her education and district experience: a Bachelor of Arts in liberal arts from Regis University, a Master’s in curriculum and instruction from the University of Colorado Colorado Springs, and roles in District 20 as a bus driver, registrar, first-grade teacher, RTI/MTSS coordinator and interim assistant principal. Mr. Smart read a prepared statement he said Clough would have made in person.
The consent agenda was moved, seconded and adopted by roll call with all members voting in favor.
The board welcomed Clough and asked staff to complete the administrative steps required to effect the interim appointment.
