Planner (unnamed) provided a community development update covering several active projects and permitting items.
The kayak launch work is on a punch list nearing completion, and inspectors expect final closeout once those items are finished. Staff said there are developer discussions for sites in the Ogden Hill area (including a lot adjacent to Cooper's Hawk) and for a corner property where a Popeye's or other dining tenant may locate. Wind Trust and a Chipotle project are active in the permitting pipeline; staff said Wind Trust revisions are under review and Chipotle is moving through permitting.
Marquis Point was reported as nearly built out: permits have been issued for all but one lot in the original build-out area, and that last lot is expected to start soon. Once public improvements for those units are complete the village can accept them and assume maintenance responsibilities such as snow removal and plowing.
These items were presented as informational updates; no final approvals or budgetary actions were recorded.
The commission announced a Fox River cleanup event scheduled for Sept. 20 and set the next Planning & Zoning Commission meeting for Oct. 2, 2025 before adjourning.
